This game is definitely live up to the classic side-scrolling action with a great plot and cast of characters. Heres one for the furries.

Seems like maybe eventually you could get excited about gear or story or something, but the combat is fairly constant and monotonous. To be fair I havent yet found an iPad platformer that I care for.

Amazing story, Good voice acting, relatable characters and superb gameplay is what make this game amazing. I would even go to say this so the best paid iOS game that Ive played. 10/10 needs a sequel.

BEST GAME EVER!

The controls are great, the gameplay is great, the story is great, and the port is great. From what Ive seen it is a flawless port to iOS. The original game from xbox live arcade was beautiful and captivating. When it was ported to the PC, I bought it again there, and now that its on iOS, you can bet that I bought it again here. This game is totally worth the cost. Now, being a port from Xbox live arcade, the controls are going to be a little bit hard to get used to, if you dont normally play with controllers. Trying to fit controller buttons and game display on the same screen seems a little cluttered, but they managed to do it beautifully, allowing you to move most elements around to your liking, as well as having a few standard presets. They even kept all the difficulty settings as the normal game. Hardcore is still the hardest difficulty, but I did notice that they dumbed down the overall difficulty of hardcore when compared to the other games. However, this is justified as the dexterity of a controller versus a touch screen varies greatly. None-the-less, the game is still quite hard, even for iOS standards. If you dont care for difficulty, there is a easy setting so that you can just glide through the action sequences and get the full story without having to pull your hair out. If anything, get this game for the story. It is a wonderfully unique story and breaks the 4th wall casually enough that the characters accept it as part of their life, which makes for a bit of comedy in it. There are places where you get to chose responses, but overall its just for fun. I havent seen the story deviating from its path just because of your choice. I have never played a game like it nor will I ever again until the sequel, if they have one. 10/10 in my book.

Finished after 14.25 hours of play. What an engrossing game! Not too hard - even an old gen-xer was able to play easily - but not too easy either. It avoids the pixel-accuracy actions that are too often needed in games like this. There was some running back and forth through the same areas but not unpleasantly so, and the way the game loaded was not unreasonable. And, most importantly, it was voiced superbly and there were minimal grammar errors and few typos. Well done! All in all, totally worth my money. I look forward to a sequel!

Please make a sequel, I would really love a sequel.

Freaking amazing game for a dollar holy cannoli I finished most of it in three days. I havent played a game on a mobile device like I did with dust since I was a wee wawa pole.

So, I dont typically write reviews; just not my thing. However, I do have to quickly say that this is by far the best dollar I have ever spent in the App Store. Period. End of story. Im several hours in, have thoroughly enjoyed every second of it, and literally have zero complaints. As a bonus, Ill also mention that while its totally playable with the onscreen controls, it plays even more beautifully with a paired controller. Throw in AirPlay to your TV and you might just forget your playing on a mobile device.

Has a very sad story line made me tear up really like how the players feel a connection with the characters really awesome game honestly

I had been eyeing this game in the App store for a while, and finally decided to purchase it after hearing a lot of good reviews and seeing that it was on sale. So far, Im very glad I gave it a try! Dust is a truly amazing adventure game filled with beautiful graphics and stunning visuals, an interesting and engaging storyline, and a wonderful cast of characters with excellent voice acting. You play as Dust, an anthropomorphic catlike creature clad in warriors garments who awakens in the middle of forest with amnesia. He soon meets a mystical talking blade, Ahrah, and its guardian, the adorable and sassy cat/bat-like flying critter named Fidget, who provides comic relief. Dust sets off with his new sword, and his trusty and witty little guide, Fidget, to discover his destiny, in an incredible world full of mystery. The controls are pretty smooth and simple, and it is easy to learn how to battle enemies and use various attack combos with your sword and Fidgets mystical powers. You become stronger and learn more techniques as you progress. Im impressed by how well this game works with the touch screen. (If you have an iPad Pro, this game is a must!) Im just starting out, but I already love this game so far! Im worried that I might spend all night playing it, so I had to force myself to take a break. It sort of reminds me of a side-scrolling Zelda-like game, but with animals as characters. Dust is a truly excellent game for anyone who enjoys adventure/fighting role-playing games. (Contrary to what one reviewer here said, I would just like to point out that Dust is NOT just a game for "furries". So what if it involves anthropomorphic animals? That factor alone doesnt mean that the game was made exclusively for the "furries". Over the years there have been tons of games -- as well as books, cartoons, and movies -- that involve anthropomorphic animal characters (the Sonic the Hedgehog series, for example), and these can be enjoyed by anyone. Personally, I am an Anti-Furry, but I love animals and adventure games, and I very much enjoy Dust so far, because it is a very well-made game with incredible graphics and amazing characters.)

What happens when a developer actually puts so much effort into something this small, you get this. A game that with more effort and funding could have possibly been made into an entire game on its own. Great voice acting and story as well as gameplay. Makes you wish there was a sequel for this.

I originally played this game on Xbox 360 and loved it. I am literally playing the SAME EXACT GAME and it is AMAZING. I cannot stress how this game is exactly like the console version... I love this game so much--gameplay, story, music, voice actors... and I get to that last cutscene, I will cry. Again. 10000000/10

For .99 cents this game is amazing. The art and animation is incredible. The voice performances are great too. Well worth checking out. Loads of fun to play!

I hope there will be a part 2 for this game. This game is awesome. I hope you guys continue new story.
